A lot of the difficulty in this game comes from the not-so-precise collision detection. When the character is on a ledge, the jump input doesn't register at all. Have there be a frame or a few after the character leaves the platform that allows them to still be able to jump. These are called "Coyote Frames". It will go a long way in making the player feel like the game isn't missing inputs.
I also suggest adding "Jump Buffering" pretty much the opposite of coyote frames. It allows for the jump input to register for a frame or few before the character lands and once the character actually lands, they jump.

I see the potential here. Just needs a little polishing and you've got a decent platformer on your hands! Thanks for sharing and good luck!

👀 whatcu got cookin???

36000

before this run, I was only at ~6000

takes a little getting used to but the platforming is smooth af once you get the hang of it.

I caught all the fish! Great game!

What a trip. Amazing mechanics and really charming art. You've really created something new here. I predict an influx of void-like genre games coming soon, and I welcome it.

Level 50 is disproportionately hard. After about 10 tries, I finally did it using Ducks to hold back the horde and taking out the giant frog as soon as possible using Mushrooms. Since the giant frog and the ninja frog can take you out in literally less than two seconds, the 'Max Health' passive upgrades would probably help keep your hero alive for long enough to turn the tides on that stage. Had a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to the update!

Great game! Tip: keep the cursor close to the ship for the best control.

It's like that SpongeBob game for GameCube except good.

Pretty nice time killer. The collision detection is tight af my dude. Every life I lost was my own fault. How about a platformer for your next project?

Another very well done puzzle/platformer with slightly different mechanics than the first. I loved being outside in this one, although I do prefer the dark chilly vide of the caves in the original, the art was amazing and of course, the soundtrack consists of the wettest of beats. Can't wait to see why a dude that needs the fountain of youth could go on adventures...
